VEHICLE MAINTAINENCE

AAR-36.jpg

Scheduled maintenance keeps your car running reliably and efficiently.  We also ensure that the check engine light operates correctly. During maintenance, we may notice worn parts, dirty filters, or worn tires. Keeping up with small repairs keeps them from becoming major repairs. Maintenance keeps the engine running smoothly, which extends its lifespan and saves on fuel. Most importantly, maintenance keeps you safe.

BELT & HOSE REPLACEMENT

Engine Belt

A belt or hose failure can cause an overheated engine, loss of power steering, and loss of the electrical charging system. If a hose leaks coolant or the belt turning the water pump snaps, the cooling system is inoperable. If the engine overheats, it can suffer serious internal damage that requires expensive repairs and can ruin a summer vacation.

ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS

AAR-35.jpg

Every vehicle built since 1996 has been equipped with an On-Board Diagnostics System that monitors engine performance. Discrepancies in performance levels are reported through your vehicle’s computer system. Once the “check engine” or “service engine” light is displayed, your next step should be to seek out an engine diagnostic service or an engine tune-up.

FIX / REPLACE TIRES

Tires are the single most important safety feature on your car. They are the only thing that connects the car to the road, and life-saving technologies like antilock brakes and electronic stability control cannot do their job if the tires don't have a good grip on the pavement. Proper maintenance and responsible driving can maximize the mileage in a set of tires.

CHECK ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS AND REPAIR SERVICE

When your car shows a check engine light, it can mean anything from a loose gas cap to serious engine problems. If the check engine light comes on, we recommend that you bring your car in as soon as possible. The vehicle stores codes that identify why the check engine light activated. The problems should always be investigated by a certified auto technician. We offer check engine diagnostics and repair services that identify and correct the problem.

HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING REPAIR

AAR-10_edited.jpg

If your car is not heating or cooling properly, we run diagnostic checks on the system, looking at refrigerant, belts, blowers and the compressor and evaporator. We recommend that you bring in your vehicle as soon as you experience problems. If the air conditioner is blowing warm air, you can damage the entire system if you continue running it. If it is losing refrigerant, the system is not able to mix lubricants with the proper amount of refrigerant, which can damage the compressor. We will test to find out how much refrigerant is still in the system and can recharge it if needed
